How cool is this? Shape Magazine is promoting vegan dining to the masses with their picks for the “Top 10 Upscale Vegan Restaurants in America.” I am so fortunate to have dined at a handful of these restaurants & can absolutely attest to their greatness. My favorites on the list: Real Food Daily, Candle 79 & Millennium.

I hope I’m lucky enough to make my way to all of these spots eventually. Vegan road trip, anyone?

Eclairs

These are the home made ones. Profiteroles and eclairs are made from choux pastry. To achieve the light, crisp result takes practice and involves several stages. Small eclairs like these are even more time consuming.

I don’t know any child who doesn’t love eclairs. These will disappear in minutes.

egg roll vermicelli from pho broadway. it was not awesome. why can’t there be good asian food near my house? and the iced coffee had way too much condensed milk in it.

After finding a decent enough excuse to head north to Sunny Isles, Gastrodamus and I decide to keep it healthy for brunch at Miami Juice. I had the turkey pita overstuffed with red cabbage, carrots, yellow and red peppers, avocado, mushrooms, and the metaphorical cherry-on-top: alfalfa sprouts. I am a self-confessed sproutophile, add them to anything and their crunch just takes it to another awesome level.
